At Montfort Junior, badminton has been a beloved sport since 1980, with a proud tradition of cultivating talented players and lifelong enthusiasts. Our program has produced national team representatives, demonstrating the exceptional skill and dedication nurtured within our community.

Our badminton teams achieved very good results in the 2023 National School Games tournaments.
Senior Boys: North Zone Champions
Our senior boys emerged as champions in the North Zone National School Games tournament, earning a spot to compete in the Nationals against the top 7 schools in Singapore.
Junior Boys: National School Games Junior Division
In the Junior Division Competition, our boys qualified for the Tier 2 group, with one of our students rising to the top as champion from the Tier 1 group.

The National School Games format for the Senior Division underwent a significant transformation in 2024, adopting a tiered format that brought together schools from across the island. This change promoted inclusiveness and ensured that players competed against peers with similar skill levels.
Senior Boys: Tier 2 Achievers
Our senior boys demonstrated remarkable determination and skill, securing a position in the Tier 2 level of the Senior Division National School Games.
Junior Boys: Tier 1 and Tier 2 Success
The junior boys showcased their talents in the National School Games, fielding a team of 3 singles and 3 doubles players. They achieved a mix of Tier 1 and Tier 2 placements, with one singles player emerging as the champion of the Tier 1 group.
