BADMINTON

Badminton has been the school’s niche sports CCA since the 1980s. We are proud to have nurtured countless badminton players who go on to join the National team or play badminton for leisure in adulthood.

We have the School Team and the Developmental Team (Primary 1 to 4) for competitive play, and the recreational team to cater for leisure play.

The School Team has the privilege of having the trusted services of experienced and devoted coaches who have close ties with the school. Opportunities are always available for school team players to participate in school and open competitions, thus developing resilience, perseverance and team spirit while pursuing the sports.

National School Games: Zonal and Nationals Badminton Tournament

In 2023, the senior students emerged champion in the North Zone National School Games tournament. The senior students then proceeded to compete in the Nationals, pitting themselves against the other 7 top schools of Singapore.

The Junior students took park in the National School Games Junior Division Competition 2023. As the competition is a tiered round format, our boys qualified for the tier 2 group and one of them emerged champion from the tier 1 group.

In 2022, the Senior students came in 2nd Runners-up in the North Zone tournament. Due to the pandemic restrictions, no Nationals tournament was held.

The Junior students took park in the National School Games Junior Division Competition 2022 and came in as 3rd Runners-up with a close fight in the tiered round.

National School Games North Zone Tournament
Objectives: Students to pit their learned skills against other participants. Students to apply the CHRISTE values and practice sportsmanship during the games.
